The City of New Orleans Office of Homeless Services and Strategies has been working endlessly in partnership with local leaders and organizations to humanely end street homelessness. Since the creation of this new office in February of 2023, local leaders have safely closed more than 9 encampments and have effectively housed more than 800 individuals in the effort to end street homelessness in New Orleans by the end of 2025.
